With the season just around the corner, it’s time to take a look at how some of the stars of the first half of the season are doing.
First up is Pippo Inzaghi.
The Juventus legend is playing well, even if he’s still looking a little rusty.
He’s been making some good saves and has looked very sharp in defence.
The Italian legend has been a revelation this season, with the Serie A side playing more in defence than they have in the past, and scoring more goals.
He has been instrumental in their impressive form and, while his stats aren’t as spectacular as some of his teammates, he’s been instrumental as well.
The most recent stats are a goal in five of their first seven games and he has also contributed five assists.
He also has a goal every two games.
The next man up is Nemanja Nikolic.
The Montenegrin international has scored a couple of goals, but also has an assist, which is still quite good for a striker of his caliber.
Nakolic has also been one of the most consistent players this season and he was on the verge of breaking the 100-goal mark before his injury.
He is the only player in the top 10 to have scored at least two goals every two matches, and that’s despite missing the last two games due to injury.
Nikolic is also the leading scorer for his country, with eight goals in the Serie D. He hasn’t played as much as he would have liked this season but he’s certainly not going anywhere anytime soon.
Finally, Milan Badelj has been an excellent performer for the Rossoneri this season.
The Serbian international has been impressive, and he’s only one goal away from breaking the 200-goal barrier for the first time.
Badelj’s season started with the lowest number of goals scored in Serie A, and it’s only gone downhill from there.
He scored nine goals in his first seven matches before he was replaced by Stefano Okaka.
Bada plays a lot of games for Milan, and has been very impressive.
He was once again on the pitch for the club during their win against Roma in the Champions League on Sunday, scoring his side’s second goal of the game.
He’s also helped them win two of their last three matches, with his first goal of this season coming in the 6-1 win against Lazio in the last match of the Europa League.
